Intimacy, sensuality and the relationship between material and text in Luki Essender's MFA exhibition

Welcome to Galleri Konstfack and the opening of the MFA solo exhibition Really Bad Soap by Luki Essender.

It’s all happening in this tiny bed, we’re only wearing thick woollen socks, there is a candle lit up, it’s very cold outside and it’s an hour long porn movie called Boyfriends. I can see your eyes going around my whole face and it doesn’t make me uncomfortable, actually it makes me feel so good. This could be you, but it’s me, but then it could also be us.

Vernissage Thursday 5 December at 4 pm with an opening performance at 5 pm.

The exhibition is open weekdays 1 to 6 pm until 13 December.

The performance Eating citruses will be held on Saturday 7 December at 12 pm and Tuesday 10 December at 5 pm.

Luki Essender (b. 1995, Slovakia) works primarily with performance, sculpture and text. Their interest evolves around topics of intimacy, sensuality and the relationship between material and text.
