Maybe memory is all the home you get... on how displacement shapes identity
Welcome to Daiane Rafaela's MFA solo exhibition in gallery Pölen at Konstfack. Vernissage Thursday 6 March, 17– 20 with a live performance at 17.
Maybe memory is all the home you get is a solo exhibition by Daiane Rafaela and a deeply personal exploration of home, memory, migration, and belonging — examining the ways in which displacement shapes identity and how the past lingers within us.
Through a poetic and intimate approach, the artist weaves together themes of migration, borders, and even the movement of trees, creating a space that invites reflection and connection. The exhibition’s title comes from Mercy Mercy Me, a poem by John Murillo, graciously allowing the use of his words to frame this exploration of memory and home.
The vernissage on 6 March will include a live performance at 17, offering an immersive experience into the themes of the exhibition.
