On facades – pretense, lying, and acting

Welcome to the MFA degree exhibition by Vincent Duraud — 𝑠𝑎𝑣𝑎𝑔𝑒 𝑎𝑠𝑦𝑙𝑢𝑚: 𝑎𝑛 𝑖𝑛𝑡𝑒𝑟𝑚𝑒𝑧𝑧𝑜

In life we have a lot of facades. Pretense, lying, & acting. A form of lying that everyone is in on can be as alienating as it is rewarding. Power pose. Hormone levels; a person born with a combination of male and female biological traits. A shape or sign used to represent something such as a group or an organization. The quality of belonging to a population subgroup made up of people who share a common cultural background; building a dream from your memory is the easiest way to lose grasp on what’s real and what is not.
