Welcome to explore questions related to design research education and societal change

Save the date Friday 28 August at Konstfack for the one-day symposium "Design research in a changing world". Exploring questions related to design research education and societal change, the symposium will be structured around two interconnected themes:

1. Design research in society: Through presentations by PhD alumni in design, the morning session explores how a deeper understanding of the trajectories of doctoral graduates might inform the development of design research education.

2. Methods and strategies in design research: The afternoon session focuses upon design research methods in response to specific societal challenges including, for example, discussion of prototyping strategies, artistic research methods, and the workshop as a research environment.

The network: The symposium will be the first national meeting of the new national network of design research departments, a collaboration between Högskolan i Borås, University of Gothenburg, Konstfack, KTH Royal Institute of Technology, Linköping University, Linnaeus University, Lund University, Luleå University of Technology, Malmö University, and Umeå University.
