Welcome to one day about Emergent Research Ethics in Practice-led Research

Is practice-led research flying under the research ethical radar? According to the Swedish Ethical Review Authority, research that aim to “mentally or physically affect a person” should apply for ethics approval. While this criteria seems to apply to most design research and artistic research, it is hard to find examples of such projects that actually did apply for ethics approval. Together we discuss how research that engages other people in and around material interventions can navigate and critically negotiate current ethical approval regulations.
