New sales record in Q3 2012

»+ 33% sales increase to 79,117 motorcycles

»Sales of more than 100,000 units expected for 2012

»World premiere of the Adventure 1190 at Intermot in

With 79,117 sold motorcycles worldwide in the first three quarters of 2012 (+33% to previous year) KTM achieved a new sales record. The Duke 200 units sold by Bajaj in India since April were included.

Despite a still declining motorcycle market, especially in Europe, these increases in sales are followed by considerable market share gains. The European market declined by 12% in the first nine months of 2012, whereas our market share increased by approximately 36% to 7,3% of the overall European market.

„The expected sales of more than 100,000 sold KTM motorcycles worldwide in 2012 will be a new all-time-high in our company history“ explains Hubert Trunkenpolz; CSO of KTM AG.

With the world premiere of the new Adventure 1190 at the international motorcycle trade fair “Intermot” in Cologne KTM presented a new milestone in this segment. This ongoing global product strategy is the basis for further growth.
