Press invitation: Graduation Shows '22

The Royal Institute of Arts yearly Graduation Shows are opening on the 20thof May, at Konstakademien (MFA) in Stockholm and at Marabouparken (BFA) in Sundbyberg.

Entitled Vargtimmen (The Woolf Hour), the MFA show consists of works by 25 students. The exhibition group includes Ming Wong, Professor in Performance in the Expanded Field; Lina Selander, artist and Guest Professor in Fine Arts and Silvia Thomackenstein, Exhibition and Programme Producer.

18 BFA students are showing their works at Marabouparken. The exhibition group consists of Lars Hammarström, Senior Lecturer in Sculpture, Sophie Tottie, Professor of Fine Art with a specialization in Drawing and Painting and Erik Sandberg, Producer at Marabouparken.

Sara Arrhenius, Vice-Chancellor of the Royal Institute of Art
– Aside from the established forms of expression, such as painting, sculpture, and moving image, the school has, in recent years, broadened its offerings to include teaching in performance and sound, to match these developments in the arts. It is also clear from the works on display in our Graduation Shows that there is an interest in trying these forms of expression, especially in hybrid art forms in which various materials, techniques and artistic expressions meet.

On the 18thof May, Royal Institute of Art invites the press to both exhibitions.
