Swedish law firm Lindahl opens new office in Stockholm and appoints Tobias Wåhlén as CEO

Lindahl, the Swedish law firm in the global TerraLex legal network, strengthens its position as one of Sweden's leading law firms by opening a new office in Stockholm. Initially, the office will have three partners; Henrik Nobel and Mårten Lindberg, both recruited externally, and Mats Tindberg, who joins from Lindahl's Helsingborg office. In addition, clients in the Stockholm market will have access to all Lindahl's expertise from more than 160 lawyers in five offices around the country. At the same time, former COO Tobias Wåhlén returns in a newly appointed role as CEO of the firm.

”As one of Sweden's largest law firms it is important to have a strong presence in the capital of Sweden, and we are therefore very pleased to announce the opening of a new office in Stockholm and present a new CEO for the firm. By building the new office from the ground up, we protect our strong brand and our culture, which has always been the basis for collaboration with our clients and a driving force in our success. We are now starting to write the next chapter in our story about how we create business value for clients and achieve sustainable growth for Lindahl”, says Johan Herrström, Chairman of the Board of Lindahl.

The partner group at the Stockholm office will initially consist of Henrik Nobel, Mårten Lindberg and Mats Tindberg. Henrik Nobel has a background as a lawyer with main expertise in M&A, company law and private equity. Mårten Lindberg is a lawyer specializing in IT, media and intellectual property law. He has extensive experience, including roles as legal counsel at Spotify and IFS. Mats Tindberg has been with Lindahl for ten years and has more than 25 years of experience in corporate law in Swedish industry, specializing in corporate law, M&A and IT.

“With lots of energy and in cooperation with all the skilled colleagues at Lindahl, we will build a business focusing on the client's business values, with the aim to take a strong position in Stockholm”, says Henrik Nobel, Mårten Lindberg and Mats Tindberg in a joint statement.

New CEO
In addition to a new Stockholm office, Lindahl makes several investments to speed up the development of the firm. Tobias Wåhlén, former COO at Lindahl, returns as newly appointed CEO, with the mission to create growth for the whole firm, develop its operations and have a special focus on the Stockholm market.

“I am very much looking forward to further develop Lindahl, and to create value for our clients together with all of our fantastic colleagues. Our focus is to expand steadily and to present our offer and culture to attract clients and talents. I feel very honoured to once again be part of Lindahl’s culture and the firm’s ambitious plans, says Tobias Wåhlén.

The Stockholm office will initially consist of 12 people. During the expansion phase, the office will work closely with other Lindahl offices, especially with the nearby office in Uppsala. Together, the two offices will form a strong unit with approximately 50 lawyers and capacity to deliver on all types of client instructions.

In addition to Stockholm, Lindahl has offices in Gothenburg, Malmö, Uppsala, Örebro and Helsingborg. Lindahl has about 250 employees.
