Stunning high fashion collaboration between Lars Wallin and Enzo Bartoli Rosato auctioned at The Operakällaren Foundation benefit for WaterAid
Earlier this spring, Lars Wallin and Enzo Bartoli Rosato launched a collaboration where rosé wine is draped in couture. The internationally recognized fashion designer has designed a new visual expression for the popular rosé wine as well as a shimmering pink couture dress that has been worn on selected occasions to usher in and celebrate the rosé season.
Now with the rosé season coming to a close the beautiful couture dress has found a new home after being auctioned at The Operakällaren Foundation's benefit for WaterAid.
We're honored for our collaboration to be auctioned for the benefit of WaterAid, says Enrico Gobino of MGM Mondo del Vino, a small contribution to help thousands of people get access to the most important drink- clean water.
It has been five years since Lars Wallin met Enrico Gobino, marketing manager at MGM Mondo del Vino and producer of the wines from Piedmont, signed by the mythical Enzo Bartoli. The dream of combining their passions for fashion and wine has been there from the first meeting and has resulted in both the “Friends of Enzo” wine group and the current collaboration with Enzo Bartoli Rosato.
Earlier this spring Lars and Enrico made this collaboration a reality and Lars introduced us to his interperetation of the rosé season with the stunning shapes and visual expression of the couture dress. It shows a feminine edge with attitude, summery tones and light transparent materials. The pink dress is a tuxedo dress with a train. Layers upon layers of silk organza and tulle, the basis of which is a shimmering silk charmeuse with interwoven silver threads that create a metallic effect. The fabrics are produced by the renowned textile manufacturer Canepa on Lake Como, which was also the place where photographer Hampus Forssander took the beautiful atmospheric photos.
