Empire of the Sun till Gröna Lund och Liseberg med Ask That God Tour!
De australiensiska elektroniska ikonerna Empire of the Sun gör efterlängtad comeback i Europa i maj och bjuder in publiken att uppleva deras legendariska liveshower under över 20 stopp som en del av 2026 Ask That God Tour. Den flerfaldigt platinasäljande duon återvänder till flera av länderna som besöktes under den uppmärksammade Europaturnén 2025. I Sverige kommer Empire of the Sun till Gröna Lund i Stockholm den 1 juni och Liseberg i Göteborg den 3 juni.
Med en diskografi som omfattar fyra kritikerrosade studioalbum, miljarder streams samt uppmärksammade remix- och nytolkningsprojekt – däribland den nyligen släppta EP:n Alive (Reimagined) – fortsätter Luke Steele och Nick Littlemore att tänja på musikaliska gränser och bygga ett helt eget universum kring Empire of the Sun. Det hyllade albumet Ask That God från 2024 markerade början på en ny era för duon som deras första fullängdare på åtta år och förenar existentiella teman med deras signaturpräglade, fantasifulla och nostalgiskt färgade synthpop. Med publikfavoriter som ”Changes”, ”Cherry Blossom” och ”Music On The Radio” har albumet nått över 500 miljoner steams globalt och förtrollat både lyssnare och livepublik världen över.
Empire of the Suns liveshower balanserar ständigt mellan fantasi och verklighet och tar med publiken in i en kalejdoskopisk värld av storslagna visuella uttryck, teatraliska inslag och produktion i överdimensionerat format. Ask That God Tour 2025 blev en global milstolpe med utsålda headline-spelningar i både Nordamerika och Europa, och presenterade bandets mest ambitiösa livesatsning hittills. I Nordamerika lockade turnén publik i städer som Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Toronto, Denver och Berkeley, med höjdpunkter som en utsåld konsert på Red Rocks Amphitheatre samt framträdanden på festivaler som Austin City Limits, CRSSD och Just Like Heaven.
I Europa fortsatte succén med utsålda datum i London, Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Milano, Barcelona och Lissabon, inklusive en utsåld spelning på Old Royal Naval College i London och framträdanden på stora sommarscener. Turnén tog även bandet till Sydamerika, där de medverkade på prestigefyllda festivaler som Lollapalooza Brasil i São Paulo och Estéreo Picnic i Bogotá, vilket ytterligare befäste Empire of the Suns globala genomslag och position som ett av världens mest visuellt och ljudmässigt unika liveband.
