Almedalen Week, Gotland, SwedenTuesday, July 4th, 2017, - Serial entrepreneur, co-founder and CEO of MedUniverse, Anna Omstedt will be moderating a high level meeting of the AmCham Life Sciences Working Committee to discuss how to accelerate access to new innovations in healthcare and Life Science in Sweden. The discussion will be attended by leaders from government,academia, and life sciences, including James Scheulen of Johns Hopkins Medicine and Anders Lönnberg, the Swedish government's coordinator for Life Science.

Omstedt said “Almedalen is a unique event and we should use this opportunity to create change. Sweden has a Global reputation for innovation and we want to see that develop in life sciences and healthcare. There’s no reason why that should not be the case, the challenge for the attendees of the round table discussion is what change can they make in their organisations that will fast track life sciences and healthcare innovation in Sweden”.
