Melisha releases the piano song "Homeless girl" - Melisha hopes that this song will inspire Christmas presents in the form of donations to organizations who work with this issue.
The music video for Melisha's new song is recorded outside of Brewhouse, where she has her studio, filmed by Nadja Itäsaari. She played piano in the snow and it was really cold, but imagine how cold it must to be homeless. It is estimated that 150 million people are homeless worldwide and In Gothenburg today, 3161 people live in homelessness. Almost 600 of them are children. They are referred to emergency accommodation, shelters, hostels and other temporary solutions. Melisha hopes that this song will inspire Christmas presents in the form of donations to organizations who work with this issue.
"This is a song about a homeless girl I met a few years ago with a small child. She and her son stayed with me until I could help her with money to go to her parents. I wrote the song about her because I wanted to lift this important topic, especially now before Christmas. With this release I want to urge you to help and donate money to your local organizations who help homeless people." sais Melisha.
She is going to donate the income from this release to Räddningsmissionen (see info below) but also donate money now.
To have a home is something many takes for granted and to imagine how life without it is very hard. Maybe give a donation as a christmas gift? ❤️

Why did she release it dec 13?
In Sweden we celebrate "Lucia" on dec 13. This day Lucia Day – also called Saint Lucy’s day – can be traced back to the 4th century. A Christian feast day, it commemorates the martyr Lucia of Syracuse, who, as legend has it, brought food to Christians hiding in Roman catacombs, lighting her way with a candlelit wreath on her head.
Räddningsmissionen is an organization that carries out both emergency operations and long-term work to create change in these people's lives. If you live in Sweden Melisha hope this song will urge you to help them by their Swish 900 44 41, Bankgiro 900-4441 or Plusgiro 90 04 44-1.
