Environmentally committed Daughter gilds Mossagårdsfestivalen!
Singer-songwriter Johanna Jansson began creating music under the name daughter as early as 2014. Her sound can be described as a cross between Abba and Lana Del Rey while capturing both the spirit of the late '60s and contemporary acts such as Florence + The Machine. Her debut single was My Flower and four years later she was on the Melodifestivalen stage for the first time with the song Cry. In 2020, she was back with the song Bulletproof, with which she almost went all the way - a single point separated her from the winner!
The artist name Dotter is inspired by the fact that Johanna sees herself as a "daughter of mother earth". Her strong commitment to nature, animals and the environment shines through in everything she does, which makes her a perfect closing artist at this year's Mossagårdsfestival. Daughter is a vegan who fights for animal rights and her environmental commitment cannot be missed:
- Whether you are human, animal, or flower, you are important to the earth - every second of your life. And when we die, we return to earth, Johanna sums up on her website.
Additional new band releases for this year's Mossagårdsfestival include Atajo - an artist who mixes reggae, cumbia, salsa rock and blues, Mauv - a young scary new addition to Malmö's indie sky, Majorelle Blue, who mixes 90's alternative rock and lo-fi, and Nawa, a group playing old Arabic-Andalusian muwashahat music characterized by oriental scales and odd, trans-like rhythms. Previous artists in the Mossagård Festival's program are Ebbot Lundberg & Tentakel, Nicolai Dunger, Julia Frej, Magnus Rosén, Johanna Kalliokuljo, Maria Anderberg & The Hillbilly Misfits, Miranda Murre Eriksson, Broder Jord m.fl.

Mossagården in Veberöd is a built-up Skåne length built-in 1811, but Mossagården is also a company where the hub of the business revolves around organic farming. The organic farms are combined with organic e-commerce, subscription to vegetable boxes, gene bank-classified animals, farm shop and garden café, and Mossagårdsfestivalen, an annual organic music and experience festival for the whole family. The Mossagårdsfestivalen has led to more cultural elements being planned on the farm as part of culture meets nature at Mossagården.
