Pressinbjudan: Inauguration of Real World Evidence Collaboration between Karolinska Institutet and the American Headquarter of MSD

On the occasion of initiating a long-term collaborative agreement between Karolinska Institutet and the headquarter of MSD you are kindly invited to join us for the inauguration ceremony on Monday November 21st, 2016. The ceremony will provide an opportunity to learn on reason and scope of the collaboration, as well as an opportunity to interview leading scientists and actors within the collaboration. The agreement brings a five-year collaborative commitment between Karolinska Institutet and MSDs Headquarter, Merck & Co., Inc. The focus of the collaboration is utilization of real world evidence, and may also include clinical studies. The overall goal is to address clinically important research questions and to describe patient management in order to improve patient outcomes and quality of care. This collaboration will constitute a significant intellectual knowledgebase as well as international investment to Swedish life science. During the first year the total investment will amount to 10 million SEK, decisions on investments during the rest of the collaboration period will be taken continuously by a steering group. The inauguration will take place in the MSD Office, in English.
