Flyktingar Lund - 1 December 2015:

Two years ago around 4,000 asylum-seekers arrived in Slavoski Brod in Croatia every day. At that time around 2,000 people arrived in Malmö in Sweden every day. Flyktingar Lund's first activity was to collect second-hand winter clothing, shoes, blanckets and socks in the city of Lund in Sweden. We delivered 386 boxes with 5,287 jackets for children and adults, 652 pairs of winter shoes, 450 pairs of socks, 224 blanckets, and 315 pairs of gloves. We travelled to Croatia and delivered donations with our local partner Caritas Croatia in December 2015.

Flyktingar Lund - 2016 and 2017:

After the borders were closed Flyktingar Lund focused its activities on asylum-seekers and refugees living in the city of Lund and its surroundings. The advantage of being a local project is that we have been able to adapt very quickly to the changing needs of asylum-seekers and refugees. During 2016 and 2017 our main activities have been:

1. Swedish training with a transdisciplinarity approach; and English lessons for unaccompanied minors and children;

2. Jobbtips to connect established Swedish people with refugees to share experiences about work opportunities and facilitate networking;

3. Recycle and share: deliver second-hand clothing and winter jackets/shoes for free to new arrivals, deliver second-hand furniture to refugee families living in empty apartments;

4. Social activities: board game nights, grilling and games, multicultural evenings, cooking and eating together, etc.

Flyktingar Lund - 2018:
