The Virtual Appliance platform is based on a 64 bit Linux operating system and brings support for Microsoft Hyper-V in addition to the already existing support for VMware. 5.4 also enable security features such as a protection to mitigate XSS attacks.

5.4.4 is improved regarding security, stability and auditability. The OpenSSL library is updated to the, for the time being, latest version in the 1.0.1 series. Ever after Heartbleed was discovered the speed creating new releases for OpenSSL have increased. As a security provider it is really important for us to be in the front in applying the latest security features.
