NOBEL MEDIA AND EUROARTS CO-OPERATE TO PRODUCE THE 2008 NOBEL PRIZE CONCERT

Nobel Media AB, the company responsible for producing the official Nobel TV programmes, and EuroArts, the leading worldwide independent producer of audiovisual classical music programmes and a Member of the Medici Group, will co-produce the international TV production of the Nobel Prize Concert on December 8, 2008.

From the Concert, a programme will be distributed internationally by Medici Arts on TV and also made into a special DVD. Included are interviews with the 2008 Nobel Laureates who have a special interest in music,  Harald zur Hausen, Martin Chalfie, Roger Y. Tsien and  Paul Krugman, as well as an interview with the conductor, Sir John Eliot Gardiner. In Sweden, The Nobel Prize Concert will be broadcast partly live and in full at a later date.

The Nobel Prize Concert is a concert of classical music of the highest international quality and produced in partnership with the Stockholm Concert Hall. It is an annual event reintroduced in 2005 and has included artists such as Yo-Yo Ma, Renée Fleming and Lang Lang. The concert is primarily held in honour of the year's Nobel Laureates, who attend together with their parties, the Swedish Royal Family and the guests of the Nobel Foundation.

The Nobel Prize Concert is an externally financed project sponsored by DnB NOR, Statkraft and LG Electronics.
