Nordic Web Team built djurid.se — Sweden's national platform for animal registration and owner services

Nordic Web Team has partnered with Svenska Kennelklubben since 2019. Djurid.se is the most technically complex product the partnership has produced so far.

Built on a customised Magento foundation, the platform serves dog and cat owners across Sweden with a range of integrated services. Owners who lose an animal can file a report directly on the site, which immediately places the animal as a pin on an interactive map of Sweden. Found animals can be reported the same way, connecting finders and owners without leaving the platform.

Nordic Web Team built the end-to-end integration for SKK's physical ID tags. Each tag carries an RFID chip and a QR code. Scanning it takes anyone who finds the animal directly to the animal's djurid.se profile, with owner contact details and live missing status.

Ownership transfers, previously handled by paper forms, are now fully digital. A buyer submits an application, payment is handled, and both parties sign with BankID. The moment both signatures are confirmed, the SKK registry updates automatically.

The integration layer connecting payment with SKK's systems is built on Junipeer, also part of the same company group as Nordic Web Team.
