Award-winning Italian designer Luca Nichetto divides his time between his studios in Venice and Stockholm. He grew up on idyllic Murano off the coast of Venice, since the Middle Ages, world-renowned for its glassworks. Now, in collaboration with Offecct, he has created an equally pretty and compact armchair that can be defined as a tribute to Murano and its glass blowers.

Swedish furniture and design company Offecct makes a new start in Stockholm and moves from the modern Flat Iron Building on Torsgatan to a historical station building at Lilla Bantorget 11. Here a meeting arena is created where Offeccts contemporary design meets 19th century architecture.
Det möbeltillverkande designföretaget Offecct nysatsar i Stockholm och flyttar nu från moderna Flat Iron Building på Torsgatan till en k-märkt stationsbyggnad på Lilla Bantorget 11. Här skapas nu en mötesarena där Offeccts samtida formgivning mixas med arkitektur från sent 1800-tal.
New owner enables faster growth and a broader distribution. “Having a new owner like Scandinavian Business Seating AS gives us access to an increased technical competence, broader global distribution channels, as well as an international network and cooperation”, says Kurt Tingdal, CEO at Offecct.
Genom att gå samman med den norska koncernen Scandinavian Business Seating AS (SB Seating) kan Offecct satsa än mer offensivt på nya marknader och öka takten i sin produktutveckling. SB Seating förvärvar 100% av aktierna i koncernen OFFECCT AB. Affären blev klar den 5 maj 2017. Grundarna, Kurt Tingdal, CEO och Anders Englund, Designchef, kvarstår i i bolaget på samma befattningar som tidigare.
During Milan Design Week the Swedish furniture and design company Offecct opened its new meeting arena in the center of the Italian city. − Milan is the design capital of the world and it´s natural for us to be established here, says Offecct CEO Kurt Tingdal. More than 100 persons attended the inauguration and experienced the unique installation of Phoenix by the italian designer Luca Nicetto.

Dune, designed by pioneering Swedish design studio Front for Offecct, offers an exciting new response to the constantly changing needs of our work places and public spaces. Dune has been developed for the spheres where the need for informal meetings intersects with the demand for relaxed seating.
After several successful collaborations between French designer Christophe Pillet and Offecct, the new sofa and easy chair Avignon offer missing pieces in an ongoing effort to map out the borderland between the domestic sphere and the contract world.
Feather light, super strong and 100 percent biological. Those have been the objectives for a long research and development project by one of Japan’s most accomplished young designers, Jin Kuramoto, and Offecct. The result, Jin, is a chair with the potential to bring about radical change in the way we make furniture.
In 2014 Christophe Pillet and Offecct launched the comfortable and timeless collection Ezy. Originally designed for the famous Pullman Paris Eiffel Tour Hotel, the collection is now supplemented with a new easy chair.
As Offecct is a design company, the highest level of design in every detail is the basis of our operation. To us it´s not enough to launch another chair or sofa into the market.
