Press release -

Offecct strengthens its position on the International market and raises the bar for upcycling in the furniture industry

To battle the threat of climate change industries around the world are re-thinking their operations, from business models to production. Our response has been the launch of the critically acclaimed Offecct Lifecircle. It’s a business model designed to stretch the life span of our products and to reduce their carbon footprint. Offecct has taken this crucial step because we strongly believe that this is the only way forward for the furniture industry. To put this concept into effect we have increased our research of the use of recycled materials, an effort put to the test in the award winning chair Phoenix, designed by Luca Nichetto that was launched at Stockholm Furniture & Light Fair this February.

Offecct has also made the biggest expansion since our foundation in 1990. During 2016 we acquired and developed a state of the art production facility dedicated solely to bespoke solutions for architects and increasing our capacity by 100 percent in the process. We have also opened new showrooms in both Stockholm and Sweden’s second largest city, Gothenburg.

Increasing popularity and a growing number of projects in Southern Europe demands an all year presence in what is undoubtedly the world’s most important meeting place for architects and designers. Consequently, the first Offecct showroom, located at Via Magolfa 21, in Milan will open its doors during the design week in April.

”By increasing our efforts in both recycling and upcycling solutions for furniture, Offecct is now in the frontline of shaping the future for this industry. We will share our visions in our stand at Salone del Mobile and in our new showroom in Milan, which will bring you closer to the heart of Offecct”, says Kurt Tingdal CEO of Offecct.

We are thrilled to announce that four new Offecct projects will have their world premiere at Salone del Mobile:

Avignon, sofa and easy chair, designed by Christophe Pillet (France)
Dune, seating system, designed by FRONT (Sweden)
Ezy Large, easy chair, designed by Christophe Pillet (France)
Jin, chair, designed by Jin Kuramoto (Japan)
