New release from Oh Tambo - goes burlesque in the new video “Burning Up Inside”

The release of the third single and video “Burning Up Inside” is coming up.

"We took one step back and the strong charismatic women two step forward", says Mattias Ahlén, singer in the band, about the story.

Official release date is April 28 with a big release party on Harry B James club "Dirty Nights" in Stockholm. Already now we present the trailer to “Burning Up Inside”! (Download here)

Once again the band has worked with the video maker Henrik Perälä and this time the script is written by former theater director Michaela Leo. In “Burning Up Inside”, Oh Tambo combines 70's riffs with influences from a poppy Foo Fighters. The song is in its simplicity about unfiltered and uncompromising passion.

"A fun video to do and an opportunity to make a comment on current topics in society through the classic show-form burlesque," says Henrik Perälä.

In the video's burlesque club environment, Oh Tambo is surrounded by four colorful women: Anna Jarl, Maria Hagman, Evelina Bjurberg and Johanna Andersson. The band stand in the periphery in the role as house band on a burlesque show.

"It's hard to dare to look," laughs Magnus Wikström, guitarist in Oh Tambo.

The video is made with a twinkle in the eye and has a twist at the end where it does not really turn out to be as the band expects in its naive desire. The main characters in the video will also make a special performance with the band live on releases in Kungsträdgården.

Oh Tambo is a new and soulful band with as much content as energy. Follow us on SpotifyYoutube and Facebook

Oh Tambo wants to bring the audience on an energetic roller coaster ride, with mixed influences like indie, Seattle and the 70's. The band was formed by Swedish-born Australian Mattias Ahlén (Token, July). On the guitar we find Magnus Wikström (Roxie 77), drummer is Magnus Frid (Stonepark, Ruh) and bassist is Daniel Sellberg (Ruh). Mattias Ahlén and Magnus Wikström first hooked up on a Sweden Rock Festival scene when Mattias guested with Alice Coopers guitarist Ryan Roxies band Roxie 77. Mattias recruited his companion Magnus Frid, also drummer in Ruh, who has opened for The Who and The Sheet. When Magnus joined Oh Tambo, he brought Daniel Sellberg from Ruh and boom - Oh Tambo was born.
