Things are growing incredibly fast at sharin this year! In April our only employee was our CEO, and today we are a team of thirteen amazing enthusiasts, devoted to creating the first insurance solution for the circular economy. This has led us to reflect on the name “sharin” and what it represents.
Whilst the name sharin is fondly embedded into our business and well known amongst the sharing economy startups we work with here in Sweden, our aim has recently been widening due to the growth of the company. We believe the time has come to progress to the next stage of our development starting with a new name which more accurately reflects our brand values and most of all, what we wish to achieve.
We want to be the insurance solution for the entire circular economy and provide security and trust as well as top of the line claims management to all types of transactions where value is the main driver, rather than cost, no matter if they are P2P, B2B or B2C-models.
Omocom is a business name which identifies with the entire circular value chain. We want to use insurance solutions to keep products in use, and make sure they are used for a longer duration of time, down the entire value chain.
From Tuesday evening 3d September 2019, our new name is omocom. Our new strapline is short-term insurance for a long-term planet. It reflects our ambition to create an insurance that is truly adapted to circular transactions in order to fundamentally change the system to something more sustainable.
Please note that this is a name change and rebranding, there is no change to our legal company entity (Company number 559097-2377).
