Gartner names op5 "Cool Vendor" in new global report

Gartner has named Swedish Open Source Management company op5 as one of six cool vendors in the new global report "Cool Vendors in IT Operations 2008".

In the new report "Cool Vendors in IT Operations 2008" Gartner names Swedish Open Source Management company op5, which develops and sells products for monitoring IT-systems and networks, one of the 6 coolest vendors in the world. The report analyses how new innovation in companies IT-operations can solve core problems and issues, and how it contributes to new business models which companies can choose from.

The IT operations market in the EMEA-region is today valued at €3,9 billion and is expected to increase to about €12,5 billion, in 2012*

The report concludes that businesses and organisations have limited budgets and time for implementing ITOM tools (IT Operations Management). Budgets also an issue when employing skilled ITOM-specialists.
