Rexel becomes the first tenant in Panattoni's Logistics Park in Mölnlycke
Panattoni has signed a lease agreement with Rexel, making them the first tenant to move in when Panattoni Park Mölnlycke is completed in the summer of 2026. The property, located in one of Sweden's most attractive logistics locations near the Gothenburg city center, Landvetter Airport, and Gothenburg Harbour, offers Rexel modern and sustainable spaces totalling 21,000 sqm.
At the turn of the year, Panattoni, one of Europe's largest developers of modern logistics properties, together with CapMan Real Estate, acquired Mitsubishi Logisnext's truck factory in Mölnlycke. Since then, extensive demolition work has been ongoing with a strong focus on reuse and sustainability. And now, as the development of the 43,000 m² logistics property begins, it is clear that the first tenant to move into the 21,000 m² space will be one of the world's largest distributors of electrical materials - Rexel.
"We are very pleased to welcome Rexel to our logistics property in Mölnlycke, which is being built with a high sustainability profile. This property represents our commitment to creating long-term sustainable and attractive solutions for the logistics of the future. We look forward to developing this site together with our partners and ensuring that it meets the highest standards of sustainability and efficiency," says Fredrik Jagersjö Rosell, Managing Director at Panattoni Sweden.
The property is being developed with the ambition to be certified according to BREEAM Outstanding – one of the highest environmental certifications on the market. Through this initiative, tenants will have access to lower operating costs, solar panel-equipped roofs, thoughtful material choices with a focus on reuse, and an aesthetically pleasing facade that harmonizes with the surroundings.
"We are very much looking forward to moving into a future-proofed property. The fact that the facility will be certified in accordance with the highest levels of the BREEAM environmental certification program is extremely important to us – it is completely in line with our sustainability work," says Peter Sedin, Logistics Director at Rexel.
Panattoni's logistics park will offer flexible and adaptable spaces, with double loading yards both to the north and south, as well as a mezzanine floor that houses offices and staff areas. The property is designed to meet the logistics requirements of the future and can be adapted for between one and six tenants. Here, smart material choices and energy-efficient solutions contribute to both environmentally friendly operations and reduced costs. Move-in is planned for the summer of 2026.
