Paxymer among top 25 Nordic Cleantech Innovations

Paxymer is one of the top 25 selected companies out of 111 applicants in Nordic Cleantech open. Nordic Cleantech Open is an annual competition where Cleantech startups are judged by an international jury.

The jury contain Dow Chemicals and SABIC Ventures representatives among other venture capital and industrial jurors. Disruptive Materials was last year’s winner of this prestigious competition.

“The Nordic Cleantech Open is a great way for us to gain insight in the developments in the cleantech start up landscape of the Nordics. We are very impressed with the line up of the top 25 and look forward to meeting the entrepreneurs.” Says Mary McCarthy, Investment Manager SABIC Ventures

Paxymer is proud to have made it this far and MD Amit Paul comments "The competition in the Nordics is tough, there are many hightech companies and it is a flattering recognition from the jury that we are part of the top 25."

The Paxymer description in the Nordic Cleantech Open press release:

"Paxymer (Sweden)

Paxymer AB offers a flame retardant system free of persistent, bioaccumulating and toxic substances (PBT and CMR). It achieves a safe burning process: low smoke, low heat release rate, low smoke toxicity and non-dripping. Paxymer is already in line with future legislation as well as current legislation such as REACH, SVHC, WEEE and RoHS. Paxymer also maintains recyclability and retains a high degree of the mechanical and processing properties of the base material - which facilitates a wider use of the solution. Paxymer currently holds the highest level of "Recommended" in BVB (Byggvarubedömningen) and has participated in several POPs elimination projects hosted by the Stockholm convention, UNEP and the Jegrelius institute.

Paxymer is an innovative swedish firm that challenges existing solutions in flame retardants. It is a spin-off from PP Polymer, a company that has almost 30 years of experience of environmentally and health conscious product development in the area of polymer technology.
