Pinerock Group enters Denmark through the acquisition of Hovedstadens Bygningsentreprise
Pinerock Group has signed an agreement to acquire Hovedstadens Bygningsentreprise A/S (“Hovedstadens”), a leading renovation, maintenance and improvement (“RMI”) company in the Greater Copenhagen area. The acquisition marks Pinerock’s entry into Denmark and a key milestone in the Group’s broader Nordic expansion strategy.
Hovedstadens is a well-established RMI contractor with a strong position in the Greater Copenhagen area. Founded in 1982, the company has developed a recognised brand, a loyal customer base and a strong track record of consistent, stable growth. The company employs more than 160 people and generates annual revenues of approximately DKK 600 million (c. SEK 900 million). Hovedstadens focuses mainly on renovation of residential buildings, primarily serving non-profit and private housing associations. Its operations are characterised by long-standing customer relationships, a strong local presence and a scalable, digitalised operating platform.
The current owners, Lottrup & Co, have together with the Hovedstadens’ strong organisation and management team successfully led the company through an impressive growth journey since 2011. To support the company’s continued growth and long-term development, Lottrup & Co has decided to sell the company to Pinerock Group. As part of the transaction, Lottrup & Co will reinvest in Pinerock Group and stay committed to supporting the continued success of both Hovedstadens and Pinerock.
With this transaction, Hovedstadens becomes the first Danish company within Pinerock Group, which today consists of 16 local brands across Sweden, Norway and Finland.
“With the acquisition of Hovedstadens, we take an important step in expanding Pinerock into Denmark. Hovedstadens is a highly respected company with a strong market position, a clear focus on renovation and a well-established operating model. We are very impressed by the team and their track record and look forward to supporting the company in its next phase of growth,” says Johanna Barnekow, CEO of Pinerock Group.
Rasmus Lindhardt, CEO of Hovedstadens, comments:
“Pinerock is a strong Nordic partner that shares our long-term perspective on entrepreneurship, quality and local presence. With access to a broader Nordic network, valuable experience and new collaboration opportunities, we will be well-positioned to continue our ambitious growth journey.”
Following the transaction, Hovedstadens will continue to operate under its existing name, with its current management team and organisation unchanged. The company’s strategy, culture and customer focus are already well-aligned with the broader Pinerock Group and will remain firmly intact. The acquisition provides opportunities for collaboration and knowledge sharing across Pinerock’s Nordic platform and strengthens the Group’s position in the region.
The transaction is subject to approval from the relevant competition authorities and is expected to be completed in August 2026.
