Possio announce its presence in the United States
Barcelona, February 11, 2007 The Swedish wireless innovator Possio AB today announces its presence in United States. A newly established wholly owned subsidiary - Possio Corp - will support Possio's customers and partners in North America.
"With the launch of GRETA GSM Fax & Printer we have a product which we feel confident will become popular in the USA", says Ralf Wittig, Head of Products at Possio. "GRETA is the first mobile all-in-one printer in the world and she will enable increased cost savings and efficiency for truck drivers and other road warriors in the US by enabling time-critical documents to be sent and received on the go for faster and efficient processing", continues Mr Wittig.
Cellular phones and laptop computers have enabled people to work away from their offices. But most businesses require paper to be signed, rubber-stamped or left behind and it's safe to say that there are few if any solutions to that problem available today. Possio provides solutions for people who need to deal with paper documents on the go. GRETA is a copier, scanner, printer, fax and GSM phone in a very small package, at a retail price estimated at $850. GRETA was launched in Europe in November 2007, and now a US version of GRETA will start shipping in North America. A Chinese version is estimated for March 2008.
Possio have started to sign up resellers and a distribution agreement with a nationwide distributor will be announced shortly. "We have worked hard to establish a relevant US sales channel", says Per Östlund, VP Sales at Possio and in charge of Possio's U.S. operations. "Given the initial interest among distributors, resellers and customers we’re looking forward to the launch of Possio and GRETA in the United States", continues Mr Östlund.
