PPG Launches New Retail Chain, Alcro Studio
PPG, one of the world’s largest suppliers of paints, coatings and specialty materials, is investing in the Swedish market and presenting the nationwide retail chain, Alcro Studio. The chain already consists of around 75 stores. The new chain enables a long-term sustainable and efficient distribution of Alcro’s products to consumer and professional painters across the country.
"We are very proud to present Alcro Studio. We want to be the best partner for our local retailers and customers, and with our new nationwide concept we enable long-term sustainable and efficient distribution," says Jan Lindgren, Market Director for PPG Sweden.
The broad roll-out of the chain will now begin in January at approximately 60 locations in the country. By the end of the year, more than 80 new stores are expected to be opened around Sweden.
"We have had a very good dialog with a number of retailers. There is a strong commitment to be part of our journey forward," says Lindgren.
An important part of the initiative is to create a seamless omni-channel solution with e-commerce and physical stores to respond to changing customer behavior. This journey has begun and will be a central part of the Alcro Studio initiative.
