The Performance
The ROG Phone is a game-changing 6-inch smartphone designed specifically for high-performance mobile gaming. Powered by the world's fastest speed-binned 2.96GHz octa-core Qualcomm® Snapdragon™ 845 Mobile Platform with gaming-optimized Qualcomm® Adreno™ 630 GP. This is complemented by up to 8GB of RAM and up to 512GB of onboard ROM storage. To secure your battery life, ROG Phone comes with a 4000mAh battery and ASUS Hypercharge, a direct-charge technology with shorter charge times while the phone also stays cooler during charging. ROG Phone also supports ASUS Aura RGB lighting and Aura Sync, meaning you can sync the light of your phone with your gaming setup.
The Display
The Rog Phone uses an AMOLED display with 90Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time with HDR visuals. With a wide 108.6% DCI-P3 color gamut and high-dynamic-range (HDR) visuals with a 10,000:1 contrast ratio help reveal every hidden details.
Designed for gaming
The ROG Phone starts from scratch, optimizing the entire layout for landscape-mode gaming. This means including side mounted USB-ports and Tactile Airtriggers for better control. The custom USB-C™ connector supports direct charging, HDMI output, gigabit LAN and headphones.
The ROG Phone also bundles with an AeroActive Cooler – a Fan connected to the back of the phone for marathon gaming sessions where you still wants to keep your hands cool. This coolers also provides a side-mounted USB-C port and 3.5mm headphone jack for unhindered gameplay.
The Optional Peripherals
The Mobile Desktop Dock lets you build a complete desktop around the ROG Phone, including hooking up a 4K monitor, Gigabit Ethernet, 5.1-channel speakers, and a stack of USB peripherals. It may not be sporting to deftly destroy your rivals using a keyboard and mouse, but the competitive advantage is available if you want it.
TwinView Dock takes it on the road in a handheld package complete with another screen. The secondary display is identical to the one on the phone, giving game developers more real estate to show maps, inventory, and other important information.
The WiGig Dock takes a different approach to secondary screens by using low-latency 802.11ad 60GHz WiFi to broadcast display signals to a base station that plugs into big-screen TVs. It pairs well with the third-party GameVice controller, which squeezes the ROG Phone between banks of traditional gamepad joysticks and buttons to enable a console-like experience that works from across the room on the couch.
