​Wine importer invests in e-commerce - Enjoy Wine & Spirits becomes part-owner of Winefinder

Enjoy Wine & Spirits AB is to become part-owner of e-commerce company Winefinder. The company was founded in 2005 and sells wine online direct to consumers in the Nordic region, primarily Sweden and especially the premium segment. Winefinder is expected to bring in a turnover of SEK 80 million in 2018.

- E-commerce is growing like mad, although online sales of wine are still modest in Sweden compared with the rest of Europe. It has become a growth channel for reaching and building a relationship with quality-conscious wine-lovers. It signifies great potential for Enjoy Wine & Spirits, which represents some of the foremost wine-houses in the world. This is therefore a way for us to strengthen our role on the Nordic market. The potential for development is huge, says Thomas Holstein, CEO of Enjoy Wine & Spirits.

Enjoy is one of Sweden’s most established wine import companies with more than 30 years’ experience of the alcohol trade. The most important sales channels today are Systembolaget, HORECA and Nordic Travel Retail. Enjoy also exports own-brand products to around 20 different overseas markets.

- The partnership between Winefinder and Enjoy generates great potential for combining food and drink through Enjoy’s sister company Di Luca & Di Luca. We want to satisfy customers’ increasing interest in this combination. Our contacts, our knowledge and our sound experience are a great complement to the e-commerce expertise of Winefinder, concludes Thomas.

Two years ago Winefinder underwent a major restructuring process. New owners, with extensive experience from retail and e-commerce, bought in and took over operation and development of the company.
