Press release -

TEDx hits record in Stockholm

With seven speakers and an audience of over 800 people, Lighthouse will be the biggest TEDx event ever held in Sweden. The event was sold out rapidly and in various forums people are now desperately trying to get tickets.

On November 25, seven live TEDx talks will be held at Nobelberget, Nacka in Stockholm. The event is called Lighthouse, to brighten up, spread ideas, and steer us towards a brighter future. The event, with over 800 seats, was sold out in record time and thus also becomes the biggest TEDx event ever held in Sweden.

Lighthouse will look into the past and future of music, what will prevail and what will emerge to disrupt industry, how the new generation brings some important lessons and challenges in the future workforce, how data can not only explain, but also empower individuals and break glass ceilings, how imagination cannot be defined by constructs of usefulness and pragmatism and how to keep it alive. We will explore what AI can offer for education, what you can learn by crossing the Atlantic Ocean in a row boat, and how to restructure your home so that we will not need planets of resources to support our needs in twenty years.

Some of the live speakers:

Dr. Elina Berglund is the CTO and co-founder of NaturalCycles - the contraception app which allows women to help prevent, plan and monitor pregnancies. Elina and her husband were looking for an effective natural contraceptive. With a desire to avoid the side effects of the pill, Elina decided to apply her mathematical skills from particle physics to create a unique algorithm that could accurately pinpoint when a woman was fertile - and this was turned into an app so all couples could benefit from the innovation.
