Peter Karlsson MD of Profits And People has had extensive experience in the areas of Business Development, Organisational Improvement and Risk Management in a world that is constantly changing. He is Swedish, has lived and worked in Europe, North America and Asia and has been based in Sydney Australia for the last 22 years.  Peter Karlsson’s educational background is in business and medical science and he is passionate about helping companies and other organisations become successful in the Asian Pacific region.

Peter Karlsson founded the Management Consulting Firm in 2006 after having discovered many inherent problems in organisations that he had worked for.  He had worked in several different industries in positions with a strong Business Development and Quality Management focus.    

One of the inherent problems that Peter Karlsson discovered in organisations around the world was that the leaders of the organisations had a very poor understanding of people and culture.  They were often good at reading spread-sheets, but usually poor at dealing with change and in particular taking advantage of changes that occur in the modern world. While consulting to organisations, Profits And People therefore focuses on People, Culture, Process and Systems and favour an innovative and dynamic approach welcoming change.

Peter Karlsson favours an approach based on active listening, emotional intelligence, the building of fundamental long-term business relationships and optimising stakeholder engagement.  As a qualified lead auditor in Quality Management Systems he is strongly committed to quality and to help organisations reduce any risk associated with their projects.

As a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors, Peter Karlsson will always support a strict code of ethics and dynamic corporate governance. Since he has been on the board of several committees and executive teams dealing with operational issues as well as improving processes and systems, he is very well acquainted with organisational governance.
