Vad betyder den handelspolitiska utvecklingen för de som faktiskt står i centrum för internationell handel – företagen? Och hur står sig idéer som öppenhet och frihandel mot de protektionistiska vindar som blåser?

I samband med ICC Sveriges hundrade årsmöte öppnas det traditionellt medlemsexklusiva årsmötesseminariet i år upp för allmänheten. Med inspel från framstående representanter från EU, USA och Kina dyker seminariet i år ner i djuplodande analyser och framåtblickande diskussioner om hur geopolitiska konflikter inverkar på handelspolitik, pandemihantering, hållbarhet, digitalisering och, inte minst, WTO:s skriande behov av reform.

Många företag har identifierat vad som behövs för att bli hållbara, men de möter stora utmaningar i omställningen. Det visar The New Divisions årliga undersökning bland Sveriges hållbarhetsrapporterande företag.

Så vad krävs för att gå från vision till handling? Välkommen på en frukostdiskussion tillsammans med näringslivets, politikens och medias ledande aktörer, arrangerad av The New Division och ICC. Alla närvarande erhåller ett exempel av rapporten Hållbarhetsfokus 2020.

Incoterms® 2020 | Official Swedish Launch

ICC Incoterms® 2020 rules define the responsibilities of buyers and sellers for the delivery of goods under sales contracts. They are the authoritative rules for determining how costs and risks are allocated between the parties.

Updated every 10 years, the latest edition of the ICC Incoterms® 2020 rules will be launched in Autumn 2019 ahead of entering into force on 1 January 2020 – join the Swedish launch event to hear from the experts that helped develop the rules and gain early access to how these should be adopted and applied.

During this launch, we will also pay tribute to Professor Jan Ramberg, who passed away at age 85 last year. Internationally, Mr. Ramberg was known as ”Mr. Incoterms”. He was the father of one of the most important Incoterms rules, Free Carrier, and chaired the working groups responsible for Incoterms 1990 and 2000.

Global lansering: ICC Report on Construction Industry Arbitrations

Construction arbitrations continue to need careful handling. They often relate to specialized forms of contract unknown to those not involved in construction; frequently give rise to technical or other issues requiring expert evidence and still seem to entail many more documents than other types of disputes.

The Report provides guidance on a range of tools and techniques useful in developing cost-effective procedures in construction arbitration. It is intended for parties and arbitrators who do not have much experience in construction arbitrations conducted under the ICC Rules, or who wish to be reminded of the options available or of the practice of others.

Participants will gain insights into the work of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR, and an understanding of the specificities of construction arbitration, along with the salient aspects of the Report’s main recommendations.

The event is free of charge. Places are limited. Registration will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.
