In international competition Scandinavian Biopharma has been awarded a grant of 7,4 million Euro for clinical trials of the ETEC vaccine ETVAX®. The trials will be conducted in Zambia and The Gambia. The newly developed vaccine ETVAX® targets diarrhea caused by ETEC – an enteric bacteria responsible for hundred thousands of deaths annually among children in low- to middle income countries.

The national public tender for the booster of TdaP vaccine (diphtheria, tetanus and pertussis), has now been completed. Scandinavian Biopharma was for the second consecutive period awarded this tender and diTekiBooster will continue to be administered to all adolescents in Sweden 13-14 years old. diTekiBooster was considered to have a medical benefit due to its high content of pertussis toxoid.

We are very proud to report completion of a large Phase I/II child study in Bangladesh, we were awarded 30 MSEK from Horizon 2020 SME and we kick-started a Phase IIB study on travellers to Benin. We have strengthened our organization and continued to grow our distribution business.
Vi kan se tillbaka på ett fantastiskt år där några av höjdpunkterna var att vi slutförde en fas I/II-barnstudie i Bangladesh på 450 personer, vi beviljades 30 miljoner kronor av Horizon 2020 och på rekordtid startades en fas IIB studie på resenärer till Benin. Business Development checks are the County Administrative Board's support for companies that want to take in external skills to develop the company and strengthen its competitiveness. The support for SBD will be used for internationalization of the business.
