There is not one single explanation to this growth, there are several. We wanted to learn more about the success and met Jarno Suomela, Vice President of Solutions Business Development and one of the first employees of the office in Jyväskylä.

Global automotive and industrial supplier Schaeffler published its interim financial report for the first half of 2022 today. The Schaeffler Group’s revenue for the first six months amounted to 7,548 million euros (prior year: 7,014 million euros). The 3.1 percent constant-currency increase in revenue compared to the prior year period was mostly attributable to favorable price realization.

Schaeffler is focusing on electric mobility. The company is demonstrating this by simultaneously launching several new electric axle drives (electric axles). “Electric axles are a key element of our electric mobility strategy,” says Matthias Zink, CEO Automotive Technologies at Schaeffler AG. Until now, up to three drive components were assembled in one compact unit.
Industry 4.0 is now Schaeffler Lifetime Solutions: The renaming is a result of the reorientation of the portfolio, which has been gradually expanded in recent years from individual product solutions to comprehensive services. The new name “Lifetime Solutions” and the subclaim “Keep your machines rolling” symbolise the aspiration to serve the needs and wishes of maintenance.
