Sensative AB awarded breakthrough platform win through standards-led solution.

Sensative, a leading provider of innovative IoT solutions, has been awarded the tender to provide its IoT platform, Yggio, across the Västra Götaland region.

This award will enable the 47 cities of the region and its 86 additional participating organisations to utilise Sensative's platform for a broad range of smart city, digitalization, and data-sharing applications.

47 cities, 30 real estate companies, 22 energy companies, 3 water operators and more will participate.

Quite possibly this is a Nordic, if not global, record for a progressive decision.

Following a competitive tender process, Sensative was selected for providing the most advantageous solution for the region. Yggio will serve as a region-wide, horizontal platform for IoT, digital transformation, and data sharing. The platform will be delivered as a Platform-as-a-Service (PaaS) solution, along with consulting services, to ensure Västra Götaland has the best possible foundation for digitising, automating, analysing, and creating a data-driven operation.

• Energy Efficiency and Utilities: The platform could assist in optimising smart grids and monitoring utilities such as electricity and water, promoting energy savings and operational efficiency across both public and private facilities.
• Environmental Monitoring: Yggio may enable monitoring of air and water quality, detection of forest fires, and soil condition tracking for agriculture, helping to enhance environmental safety and sustainability.
• Asset Tracking: Yggio can be leveraged for real-time asset tracking in environments such as airports, hospitals, and workplaces. This functionality allows organisations to monitor and manage equipment, vehicles, and other critical assets, ensuring better resource allocation, reducing losses, and improving operational efficiency.
• Public Safety and Emergency Response: The platform has the potential to support public safety initiatives, including crime prevention, disaster response, and emergency coordination.
• Healthcare and Social Services: Yggio could enhance healthcare outcomes through remote patient monitoring and elderly care support, allowing organisations to leverage data-driven insights for improved service delivery.
