Last year we introduced a "knit your own Rigetta" collection, and it was a huge success — the collection has now been updated with new colours and multiple styles, and in addition we have invited in Karen Marie Dehn, she has made some irresistible sewing kits that we are looking forward to show to you.
Last but not least — Rigetta Klint is, as you know, a fetishist for quality materials — she just loves it when mother of pearl buttons are several millimetres thick, when a plastic button is not tacky but super nice, and she loves the delicious ribbons and trim which make a difference on each piece of clothing. This enthusiasm she also shares in the new hobby room, where from tomorrow morning you can provide yourself with quality from every shelf.
Karen Marie Dehn runs the company karenmarie.nu. She sells ideas — ideas in many different shapes — designs for magazines, book writing, styling, besides doing courses and workshops for children and adults. Karen Marie loves to communicate creative ideas broadly and in many ways — her world is a blend of quality craftsmanship, vibrant colours and quirky details.
“With our hobby room we want to combine a contemporary fashion and design expression with the crafts tradition. The idea is closely linked to our commitment to slow design and sustainability. By knitting and sewing, we believe that one becomes a part of the manufacturing process in a comprehensible way, something that makes us more concerned and promotes awareness. And I believe, no, I know that there is a deep satisfaction connected with working by hand," says Rigetta Klint.
