New name, new packaging and new products in SLOWFASHIONhouse.com

Kaé Argatherapy: Kaeline is now called Kaé, their packaging has changed and Helle has filled her shelves in the SLOWFASHIONhouse bathroom with a new supply of the usual products and added more new ones.

Kaé is one of my favorite skincare brands — I love the products and I love their sense of social and environmental responsibility — and then they are great value for money.

Kaé products are 100% pure and organic without any additives, conservatives or chemical components. Kaé products are ECOCERT and COSMEBIO certified.

The Kaé products are based on oil from the argan nut. This oil production is managed by a cooperative of women, with help from a European NGO. The production provides economic sustenance to rural families and supplies the women with wages and an improved socio-economic standard of living. Important for the women, but not least for their children.

Kaé Argan oil products are unisex products, ideal for all skin types and all ages ranging from teenagers with acne skin to grown ups with dry, sensitive, oily, or mature and aging skin.

Don't be afraid of using oils on your face: many people believe that oils are heavy and greasy, but the precious, pure plant oils are actually just the opposite. Oil therapy has been used for centuries to cleanse the skin, open pores and hydrate. The unique composition of the oils allows them to draw out impurities, while being at the same time immediately absorbed by the skin, which results in maximum hydration and a smoother and younger looking skin.

Rhassoul clay from Kaé is not a novelty: on the contrary, it has been used for over 1400 years as soap, shampoo, and skin conditioner, and the finest spas across the globe currently utilize it for its therapeutic benefits. But in our bathroom it's new.

What is it and where does it come from?  —

Rhassoul clay powder is extracted from ancient deposits in the Atlas Mountains of northern Morocco and has been used for centuries for hair and body hammam treatments. It is very rich in minerals and — blended with water for oily or normal skin or with water and two drops of Kaé Huile de Beauté Pure Argan for dry or sensitive skin — it smoothes and purifies face, skin, and hair. Studies have shown that it reduces dryness and flakiness, improves skin clarity and elasticity, and that it has an extractive effect to remove impurities and unblock pores. Furthermore it's hypoallergenic and usable for all skin types.

Rhassoul is a frequent ingredient in cleansing products and face care cleansing masks from the high end cosmetic brands, from Kaé it is available in its purest and simplest form which fits well with my no-nonsense philosophy and, indeed, with my wallet.

Another  new product  from Kaé is an option if you are preparing an exclusive home hammam  or spa experience:

The Savon Noir Black Soap, 100% vegetable paste made from olive oil, eucalyptus essential oil and salt. It is rich in vitamin E and can be used for all types of skins — I love the fragrance, and wish that I could share it. Used together with the very very beautiful towels from Turkish bath by Camilla Thulin, and I could not ask for more.
