Redha Cherif the new CEO of Smart Refill

Fintech company ‘Smart Refill i Helsingborg AB’ has appointed Redha Cherif as its CEO effective February 15th. Redha has been the company's Chief Technology Officer (CTO) since April 2020, after holding the position of CTO at the Finnish software consulting firm Wunderdog. Redha also has extensive experience from Sony Mobile, Ericsson Mobile Platforms and Point Transaction Systems AB (now VeriFone Inc.).

- I feel truly honored to have been invited to lead our company and by the backing and support I have received from my colleagues, yet humbled by the challenge. Having led the company's innovation and development activities, I am well positioned to know what we can offer and what our customers strive for. Therefore, I can be nothing but optimistic about the future for Smart Refill, says Redha Cherif

What can we expect from Smart Refill going forward?

- Today, Smart Refill is the leading fintech partner for telecom operators in the Nordic market. Going forward, we will make ourselves even more relevant to our existing partners through a more capable offering, while becoming the obvious choice for telecom operators in the rest of Europe. For example, our telecom customers are increasingly positioning themselves in media, e-commerce and IoT, which also means diversified offerings and new business models. In that respect, they need a partner who has the ability to develop tailored payment solutions. Instead of starting from the basic function, to "get paid", our solution is built from the ground up to match the telecom operators’ needs and increase their business. It's revolutionary!

Helsingborg-based fintech company Smart Refill has created digital solutions for online sales and payments since 2006, for banking since 2010 and for digital post since 2013. Customers include Telia Company, Telenor, Handelsbanken and Shanghai Commercial and Savings Bank. The company is unique in the fact that they hold three highly coveted certificates which permits them to provide secure digital services: PCI-DSS Level 1 (the card companies' highest international security standard), E-Money Institute (authorized and supervised by the Swedish Financial Supervisory Authority) and license for digital post (issued by Agency for Digital Government, DIGG).

Redha has many years of experience in software development in the company’s both business areas, finance and telecom, and prior to his assignment was CTO at consulting company Wunderdog. Redha started his employment on April 1st and will become a member of Smart Refill's management team.
