Connected, Visible and Transparent Supply Chains – The Need of the Hour

Rarely have supply chains and material flows been so discussed, and changes been done as quickly, as in the early phases of the pandemic. Many sectors testified to challenges in their supply chains, from different perspectives. Keywords such as responsiveness, agility, resilience, risk management and traceability were added to the already strong driving forces around sustainability and digitalisation. This seminar presents technologies and research on visibility and transparency in supply chains, but also how simulation and policies regarding material flows in cities can stimulate sustainable transports.
