​Bob Dylan släpper bootlegserien The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12

Den 6:e november släpps Volym 12 i Bob Dylans hyllade bootlegserie med exklusiva inspelningar - The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12. Denna 6CD Deluxe box fokuserar på inspelningarna till de legendariska albumen Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited och Blonde On Blonde, som kom att säkerställa Bob Dylans rykte som oöverträffad låtskrivare och artist. Boxen innehåller studioinspelningar som inte tidigare släppts, såsom tidigare opublicerade sånger, repetitioner samt alternativa tagningar. Alla inspelningar överförda och mixade från originaltaperna.

Dessutom släpps The Best of The Cutting Edge 1965-1966- inspelningens höjdpunkter samlade i en 2CD-utgåva och trippelvinyl LP box.

The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 tar oss med på Bob Dylans kreativa process i studion och vi får upptäcka en annan sida av Dylan i skapandet och inspelningen av sina sånger under denna banbrytande period.

The Cutting Edge 1965-1966: The Bootleg Series Vol. 12 - Deluxe Edition låter oss för första gången to del av dessa eftersökta inspelningar. På 6CD finns ej tidigare presenterade Dylan sånger, inspelningar från repetitioner samt alternativa tagningar av Dylans välkända låtar och dessutom hela sessionen för "Like A Rolling Stone" samt mycket mer. En bok med hundratals unika och ej tidigare visade foton och memorabilia, kommenterade av Bill Flanagan och Sean Wilentz, tillkommer också.

Förutom dessa utgåvor kommer det exklusivt via BobDylan.com finnas en 18CD Limited Edition i begränsad upplaga av 5000 exemplar, innehållande precis alla inspelningar som gjordes till dessa album under åren 1965-1966, mixade från originaltaper. Dessutom ingår inspelningar som gjordes på hotellrum på Savoy Hotel i London (4:e maj, 1965), North British Station Hotel i Glasgow (13:e maj, 1966) och på ett hotell i Denver, Colorado (12:e mars, 1966). Boxen innehåller även nio mono 45-varvssinglar förpackade i nya tidsenliga omslag.

Bringing It All Back Home, Highway 61 Revisited och dubbelalbumet Blonde On Blonde skrevs och spelades in under en period av 14 månader (från januari 1965 till mars 1966) och betraktas allmänt som tre av de mest viktiga och inflytelserika albumen under 60-talets musikaliska guldålder. Dylan spelade in albumen med producenterna Tom Wilson (Bringing It All Back Home, "Like A Rolling Stone") och Bob Johnston i New York (Highway 61 Revisited) och Nashville (Blonde On Blonde).
