Harry Styles’ critically acclaimed new album Fine Line has topped charts around the world and has accomplished an array of history-making records. The album has debuted at #1 in the U.S. on the Billboard 200 with over 478,000 equivalent album units sold and 393,000 traditional albums sold (6th best-selling traditional album of the year in just under a week), making history as the biggest sales week for a solo U.K. male artist’s album since Nielsen Music began electronically tracking sales data in 1991. It also marks the fourth-biggest vinyl sales week in Nielsen music history. Fine Line has also drawn over 100 million on-demand audio streams in just the first week. This marks the 3rd highest debut for any artist this year, and is the biggest week for a pop album by a male artist in four years.
The astonishing U.S. debut comes hot on the heels of Harry’s massive international success where the album has entered charts at #1 in over 20 countries, including the U.S., Canada, Australia, Ireland, New Zealand, Mexico, Netherlands, Sweden, Brazil, and across South East Asia. Harry has now become the first UK male artist to debut at #1 with his first two albums. This impressive debut more than doubles the first week numbers of Harry’s previous self-titled debut album.
Last week, Harry celebrated the release with a sold-out one-night-only concert at the Forum in Los Angeles where he played the album in full from front to back for the very first time and was joined by the legendary Stevie Nicks for a special performance of “Landslide.” Harry also guest hosted the Late Late Show with James Corden, which featured a performance of his new single “Adore You” and a special edition of Crosswalk The Concert.Following on from his appearance on the ELLEN Show on Tuesday, Harry headed to the UK for 4 performances on BBC Radio 1’s Live Lounge -‘LIZZO ‘JUICE’ COVER | ‘ADORE YOU’ | ‘LIGHTS UP’ | ‘WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS TIME’. He wrapped the incredible week with an intimate show in London at the Electric Ballroom with a surprise appearance from Stormzy.
