The app that makes your car sound like a Ferrari!
The Sound Racer FM Transmitter with sports car sounds is a global success with more than 100 000 gadgets sold. Now the app version is launched, first for Android and later for iPhone and Windows Phone.
The app includes the amazing engine sounds from Shelby Mustang V8, Lamborghini Gallardo V10, V12 Ferrari, Lexus LFA V10 and Harley-Davidson V-Twin.
It is a really cool feeling to hear the exciting engine sounds follow the engine speed when driving a ordinary family car!
This requires a so-called OBD2 adapter that connects to the diagnostic connector found in all modern cars. The adapter transmits vehicle data via Bluetooth to a smartphone and is very popular among car enthusiasts, for example, the app Torque with over 500 000 downloads. A common model of adapter is called ELM327 and sold at a low cost on eBay and other places.
Sound Racer OBD app can be purchased on Google Play for only US$2.99. To test the sound before you buy, download the free version that you can only "drive" manually.
