DANISH LAUNCH FOR SPRINGWORKS BRINGS SMART CAR OWNERSHIP TO 1.8 MILLION DANES

Stockholm, Sweden, Monday July 17th - The key partnership between Springworks and Telia Company that brought smart car ownership to Swedish car owners has now launched Telia Sense in its neighbouring country, Denmark. Now 1.8 million Danish car owners can have a connected car ownership that until now, was only available to luxury, high-end cars.

The launch of Telia Sense in Denmark has long been a part of the plan since Springworks partnered with Telia Company back in 2014. So it comes as no surprise that the expansion into the neighbouring country has been very much anticipated from all involved.

CEO at Springworks, Erik Ramberg, says “These past months have shown us that for a relatively small team, we’re able to scale both our technology and our business model quickly and successfully.”

The expansion and launch into the Danish market has been one of speed and velocity that the Springworks team are proud to have achieved. It took just 4 months for the team to rapidly roll out their connected car service in a new market with local service providers, EasyPark and Viking, included in the service.

Erik Ramberg continues “We obviously worked really hard to be able to achieve a Danish integration and rollout within 4 months. Ultimately, it’s a good indication of how quickly we’re able to expand across Europe.”

How it works

Coupled with a piece of hardware, Telia Sense gives Danish car owners 4G wifi in their car, smart notifications about car status, car location and tampering alerts, trip journals, smart parking assistance with EasyPark, and easier roadside assistance with Viking.

Until now, a connected car and access to smart car services was only accessible to high-end luxury cars. Thanks to Telia Sense, car owners with a car produced since 2001 can connect their car for a smarter, safer, more secure car ownership.
