Standout Capital divests Papirfly

B2B technology investor Standout Capital and the other shareholders of Papirfly Group AS have signed binding agreements to sell their shares to a vehicle controlled by Verdane.

In March 2020 Standout Capital partnered with Per Oldeide, founder of Papirfly AS, and became the company’s largest shareholder. Papirfly had successfully grown into an international software company with over 200 customers globally on its Brand Activation Management platform. Per was looking for an active owner partner for the company in its ambition to accelerate growth and to capitalise on the market opportunity.

Supported by Standout, Papirfly completed a merger with Brandmaster AS in February 2021, doubling its size as well as strengthening the geographical footprint and management team. The combined company, Papirfly Group, has recurring revenues of over MNOK 200 with ⅔ coming from outside Norway and strong growth ambitions going forward. In August 2021, Papirfly Group acquired the Swedish media asset management company Meriworks.

Now, the next step in Paprifly’s growth journey is starting with Verdane as a new majority owner. Standout Capital will sell all its shares in the transaction that is expected to close in February. Certain management shareholders will re-invest alongside Verdane. Erik Langaker will remain as Chairman and investor and Per Oldeide will stay as a shareholder and board member.
