DANCEHALL – A style of street dance that originated among Jamaican youths during the early 1980s, Dancehall. The dancehall master, Mr Bogle who created massive house whole names & dance styles; A legacy to carry on to an international competitive world platform ”DUN DEM”

”The Dancehall World Cup Championship Battle” is an official Dancehall crew competition in the world. Dancers across the globe vie for a chance to represent their country at the World Finals.
Top three will earn the right to enter into in an all-out battle, but only one will be crowned the ”Dancehall Greatest” The Championship cup is much more than a world competitive platform. It is committed to honor the pure STYLE of DH.
The Nation ensures the championship stays true to its Dancehall roots— spreading culture, returning to the roots of the event with a familiar atmosphere, and simultaneously building a world class competitive platform.

Ni får nu chansen att representera Sverige på en global dancehall arena, så nu är det dags för alla ”Dancehall Crews” att visa vad ni står för.

Det dancehall crew som vinner hela världscupfinalen ”Dancehall’s Greatest” 2016 har chansen att vinna upp till 100.000 USD plus att få dansa på STING på Jamaica.
Men för att komma dit måste ni först kvala in i det Svenska mästerskapet genom en ”Knock Out”, där tar vår Jamaicanska jury ut 6 crews som går vidare till nästa ”Knock Out” där juryn röstar in 3 crew till den svenska finalen.
Vinnaren av Svenska finalen tar hem 1000 USD och får gå vidare till världscupfinalen 2016. Både Knockout och Svenska finalen kommer att hållas den 26 September, Stockholm.
Dancehall World Cup finalen hålls sommaren 2016 i Europa.

1VS1 - 30 sec 2VS2 - 40 sec BATTLE
1VS1 2VS2 AND CHOREOGRAPHY BATTLE
Three (3) to eight (8) members for choreography battle. You may chose your music for this segment. Choreography battle must last 1:35 Sec
2 ROUNDS IN A SINGLE STAND OFF

Hardcore power moves to intricate footworks.
“If you master your style you can win. It’s not about old and new styles, it’s about mastering movements.
Creativity, originality, explosive energy, choreography and creative interpretation of the music.

VOTES: Votes base on a select criteria of technical and physical skills,

The music is chosen by a DUN official at the time of competition if not other information is given on the battle concept. If you do not show up after three roll-calls at the venue before a preselection or battle, you are disqualified. Please show respect for your opponent. No physical contact allowed. The decisions of the judges are final. Contestants who do not follow the rules may be disqualified by the judges or the event management.
