Award-winning research portal for recycled tyre rubber gets new features

The award-winning international research portal End-of-Life Tyre Research Portal (ELTRP) continues to grow. Two new features are now being introduced, making it easier to stay informed about the latest research on recycled tyre materials.

Ongoing projects

ELTRP is the first open and searchable platform that brings together research reports on recycled tyre rubber from around the world. The articles in the portal cover everything from material properties to the health and environmental impacts of recycled tyre materials.

With the launch of a new category called “Projects”, users will now be able to follow research in an earlier stage. The “Projects” section further updates the portal’s content and provides an indication of upcoming material insights that may be addressed in the near future.

Subscribe for updates

To make it easier to stay informed about new research on recycled tyre materials, ELTRP is also introducing a subscription function. Those who sign up for the portal’s newsletter will receive email notifications when new research reports and projects are published. The service is free of charge.

More about ELTRP

ELTRP was launched in 2023 and has since received several recognitions, including the “Industry Achievement Award for the Tyre Recycling Sector” at the Recircle Awards 2025.

The purpose of the portal is to make research on recycled tyre materials more accessible and easier to navigate for researchers, authorities, policymakers, and industry stakeholders. At the time of writing, the portal contains over 600 published articles.

ELTRP was developed by Swedish Tyre Recycling with support from international organisations within tyre recycling. The technology was developed in collaboration with the Swedish IT consultancy Sunstone Systems. The content is reviewed and administered by a sustainability expert.
