Ett verklighetsbaserat mord mitt i den finaste av kretsar på den engelska landsbygden – alla Downtown Abbey-fans lär bli nöjda när Jessica Fellowes, syskonbarn till tv-seriens grundare, gör skönlitterär debut. Nu kommer hon till Bokmässan och Crimetime Göteborg.
Telefonhackningsskandalen, Wikileaks- och Snowden-dokumenten. Tre exempel på avslöjanden som gjort The Guardian världsledande inom den undersökande journalistiken. Alan Rusbridger var tidningens chefredaktör under 20 år och i allra högsta grad delaktig i framgångarna. Nu kommer han till Meg och Bokmässan.
Bokmässan i Göteborg byter namn på Internationella Torget till Globala Torget och sätter ytterligare fokus på framtidens globala utmaningar. En del i denna nysatsning är namnbytet som understryker tydligare vad torget handlar om.
Idag avslutas 2018 års Bokmässa. Under fyra dagar har gäster och besökare kunnat ta del av 3800 programpunkter i form av seminarier, scen- och monterprogram. 811 utställare har varit på plats och mässhallarna har varit fyllda.
Bokmässans Bildningsstipendium instiftades med utgångspunkt i litteraturens förmåga att låta oss dela en annan persons verklighet, samt i skolans, bibliotekens och kulturens roll som kunskapsförmedlare om världen. Årets stipendium á 25 000 kronor har tilldelats dramatikern, regissören och skribenten Stina Oscarson.
Fredagen den 28 september, korades vinnarna av MegAward i kategorierna Årets förnyare och Årets raket. Pristagarna tog emot sina utmärkelser på Mediescenen i Meg-området på Bokmässan.
Svenska Mässan Gothia Towers är norra Europas största mötesplats för helhetsupplevelser med ett unikt läge mitt i evenemangsområdet i centrala Göteborg. Mötesplatsen grundades 1918 och arrangerar och driver idag mässor, möten, hotell, restauranger och spa. Varje år välkomnas två miljoner besökare från hela världen att mötas, äta och bo hos oss. Mötesplatsen ägs av Svenska Mässan Stiftelse, en ekonomiskt fristående stiftelse utan ägare och investerare med uppdrag att främja näringslivet.
