No other event in the Nordic Region brings together as many suppliers, manufacturers, wholesalers, experts, and specialists from the automotive service and aftermarket industry. Automässan is the largest meeting point in the Nordic Region for all service and aftermarket professionals.

– We have started the journey towards a paradigm shift, from mechanical to electrical, and it brings with it a large number of challenges and opportunities. At Automässan, we will show a future industry that is highly technological, says Johnny Bräster, Chairman of the Association of Swedish Wholesalers of Automotive Parts and Accessories (SBF) and co-organiser of Automässan.

With 240 exhibitors from 15 countries, Automässan has been fully booked since this autumn. When it last took place in January 2020, Automässan had close to 17,000 visits from 39 countries.

– Visitors come here to meet with the industry’s most important suppliers. Many exhibitors choose to launch new products and other news at the fair, Anna Lena Friberg, in charge of Automässan, says.

Automässan offers a highly current seminar programme on the topics of digitalisation and electrification.

An introduction for the workforce of the future

As with many other branches of industry, there is a major shortage of skills, and issues such as recruitment and skills supply are high on the agenda.

– The industry is short of thousands of mechanics and other professionals. Therefore, we are carrying out a targeted initiative aimed at upper secondary school students together with the Transportföretagen (Swedish Confederation of Transport Enterprises) employer organisation. We expect to receive 1,400 students who will get an industry introduction and a chance to meet future colleagues and employers, Anna Lena Friberg says.
