Speaker Programme available now!

The Conference Programme of the Nordic Architecture Fair has just been released. More than 150 speakers, in three parallel lecture halls, will present their visions. The focus will be on Tomorrow’s Cities and Ways Architecture Can Make a Difference.

Highlights:
Sou Fujimoto, the celebrated Japanese architect, will talk about the creative freedom he finds in The Spaces in Between.

Charles Renfro, partner at Diller Scofidio + Renfro, the architectural agency behind the High Line in New York and many other striking projects, will speak on the subject of "Democracity".

Helle Juul, the architect who has probably designed more campus areas than any other contemporary Nordic architect, will provide concrete tips on how urban planning can promote knowledge exchange.

Built to Last: Can architecture and city planning make you healthy? Oana Bogdan, Bogdan & van Broeck; Gro Bonesmo, Spacegroup; Thrainn Hauksson, Landslag; Christer Larsson, Chief Planning Officer, City of Malmö; and Lone Wiggers, C. F. Møller Architects, will diagnose the health aspects of architecture.

The state vs the people: Whose interests should the city architect serve? Should it be current policy, not infrequently short-term and populist? Or should it be longer lasting democratic values? Gerard Reinmuth, head of the Australian architecture firm, Terroir, will conduct a debate on Architecture and Politics.

The Nordic Architecture Fair is the meeting place for getting up to speed on outstanding architecture and urban planning. The busy two-day event will see architects, town planners, landlords, property owners, developers and civil engineers coming together to discuss the kind of society we want for the future.

At the Nordic Architecture Fair you will meet some of the world's boldest architects and urban planners, people with the ability to bring about the ‘impossible’. The fair is just as much a meeting place as it is a conference and an exhibition. Some 100 exhibitors will be showing their offers at the event. And more than 100 speakers will be sharing their expertise during the various sessions of the comprehensive conference programme.
